Eiffage: two energy acquisitions in the Netherlands

(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage announced on Tuesday that it would be strengthening its presence in the Dutch energy market through the acquisition of two companies, EKB and Rensen.

The French motorway construction and operating group reports that its subsidiary Eiffage Energie Systèmes has acquired 100% of EKB, a specialist in the design, construction and maintenance of industrial automation systems.

In 2023, this entity generated sales of E35.5m, with a workforce of almost 200.

At the same time, Eiffage has acquired a 70% majority stake in Rensen Regeltechniek, a company with 74 employees specialising in technical building management.

Rensen Regeltechniek generated sales of E15.5m last year.

These two acquisitions, the amounts of which were not disclosed, will enable the French group to strengthen its businesses in electricity and information technology, which it believes are essential to meet the growing demand brought about by the energy transition.

In the Netherlands, Eiffage Energie Systèmes has 1,600 employees and sales of 350 million euros in 2023 (including Van den Pol, whose takeover was finalized in early 2024, but before integration of these last two acquisitions).
