Lockheed Martin: Croatia triples its Black Hawk fleet
(CercleFinance.com) - Lockheed Martin announces that Croatia has officially purchased another eight UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters built by Sikorsky (a Lockheed Martin company) through the US government's Foreign Military Sales mechanism.
This brings Croatia's total Black Hawk fleet to 12 aircraft.
The agreement also includes organizational equipment, spare and repair parts, and associated support equipment. According to Lockheed, the deal is 'a key investment' for Croatia.
By tripling its fleet, Croatia will support ongoing modernization efforts and strengthen the Balkan region's ability to deter current and future threats, Sikorski said.
