BAE Systems: $111m tactical radio contracts in Korea
(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems today announced that it has been awarded contracts worth a total of $111m to supply the Republic of Korea (ROK) with its second-generation ultra high-frequency tactical radio, SATURN, for NATO.
The project is part of the ROK's communications modernization strategy, aimed at providing secure, interoperable command and control capabilities for military aircraft.
The SATURN radios, developed by BAE Systems, will offer fast, accurate communications thanks to a new fast frequency hopping waveform, and are designed to enhance the operational superiority of South Korean forces while maintaining interoperability with US and coalition partners.
