BMW: Group sales down 1.3% in Q2
(CercleFinance.com) - BMW Group Automotive has announced that it sold a total of 618,826 vehicles in Q2, down 1.
3% y-o-y.
Meanwhile, sales of BMW Group electric vehicles (BEVs and PHEVs, i.e. battery-powered vehicles and plug-in hybrids) rose by 8.5% to 146,483 vehicles. Sales of BEV vehicles alone rose by 22% to 107,933 units.
Geographically, sales were virtually flat in Europe (-0.1%), with a more marked decline in Germany (-11.5%), Asia (-4.3%) and China (-4.7%). On the other hand, sales rose by +1.7% in the US and by 3% in the Americas.
