Visa: functionalities integrated into HSBC's Zing app

(CercleFinance.com) - British banking giant HSBC announced on Tuesday that it will partner with US-based Visa to develop Zing, its new international payment app.

Under the terms of the partnership, Zing will now integrate Currencycloud, Visa's solution for automating and managing the execution of foreign exchange transactions, offering users competitive rates.

The application will also be coupled with Tink, another Visa technology based on open banking, which enables consumers to initiate payments directly from their bank account with just a few clicks.

It is also planned that Zing users in the UK will be able to benefit from the services associated with a Visa card.

Launched successfully in the UK last January, Zing enables its users to hold funds denominated in 10 currencies, convert them into 30 international currencies and send them to 200 countries.

HSBC says it intends to extend the development of its application to other international markets in the near future.
