Lufthansa: EU investigates E6bn recapitalisation
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has launched an in-depth investigation to assess whether a E6bn recapitalisation measure in favour of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, initially approved before being annulled by the General Court in May 2023, complies with EU state aid rules.
The aid was intended to stabilize Lufthansa's financial situation in the face of the coronavirus crisis.
The investigation will let Germany and other interested parties submit comments (without prejudging the final outcome).
