TotalEnergies: acquires Tecoil in Finland
(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies announces the acquisition of Tecoil, a Finnish company specializing in the manufacture of Re-refined Base Oils (RRBO) and currently boasting the most efficient used oil reprocessing process on the market.
Tecoil currently operates a production site with a re-refined base oil production capacity of 50,000 tonnes per year in Hamina, a plant which has its own collection circuit for used lubricants from the circular economy in Europe.
These high-quality base oils, used in the manufacture of lubricants, enable a significant reduction in the carbon footprint, while offering the same level of performance expected by many car manufacturers.
