Diageo: appoints Debra Crew as interim CEO
(CercleFinance.com) - Diageo announces that its Chief Executive Ivan Menezes is currently in hospital with health problems related to a stomach ulcer, who over the weekend suffered complications following emergency surgery on an ulcer, it said.
As a result, the Board has appointed Debra Crew as Interim Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect, before she is appointed Chief Executive Officer and joins the Board as Executive Director on 1 July 2023.
As previously announced, Ivan Menezes will retire from the Board on 30 June 2023: Diageo is making no further comments on the matter for the moment.
