STMicroelectronics: new pressure sensor for IoT
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday, STMicroelectronics announced the launch of a new MEMS pressure sensor with a life expectancy of up to ten years, for use in Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
The world's leading manufacturer of electromechanical microcircuits (MEMS) points out that this waterproof sensor, named ILPS28QSW, can withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C to 105°C.
Its resilience makes it particularly suitable for applications in water and gas metering systems, weather monitoring or air conditioning, ST says.
