
BAE Systems: pens $2.2bn contract with Czech Republic
(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems has announced that the Czech Republic has successfully concluded negotiations with the Swedish government, the Swedish defence procurement organisation FMV and BAE Systems Hägglunds to purchase 246 CV90 MkIV infantry fighting vehicles in seven different variants.
The contract is worth 22bn SEK ($2.2bn). The agreement provides high-performance vehicles for Czech soldiers while giving Czech industry an important role in the program.
