
AutoZone: Q3 EPS up 17%
(CercleFinance.com) - AutoZone has reported Q3 2022-23 EPS that is up 17.
5% to $34.12, with operating income rising 9.3% to $858.5m and sales up 5.8% to $4.1bn.
LFL, i.e. counting only shops that have been open for at least a year, its US sales rose by 1.9%, significantly affected by lower-than-expected sales in March, management says.
The auto parts and accessories retailer said that its inventories rose 7.4% y-o-y, which it said was due to inflation and its growth initiatives.
