TotalEnergies: solar projects authorised in Spain
(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies says that it has received, from the Ministry of Energy Transition and the Autonomous Communities, the environmental authorisations that are necessary for the completion of solar projects for a total estimated capacity of three gigawatts in Spain.
These authorisations concern the 48 power plants that the French energy group will develop in Madrid, the Murcia region, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia and Aragon. The first projects will start in early 2024.
The group says that these solar farms will generate enough power to cover the electricity demand of nearly four million people and avoid the emission of nearly 50 million tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere over their lifetime.
