Dassault Systèmes: chosen for UKAEA project
(CercleFinance.com) - Dassault Systèmes announces that 3DEXPERIENCE has been selected for the STEP program led by the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) to build a prototype nuclear fusion power plant capable of supplying the national grid.
Once deployed, the French software company's flagship platform will support this program to produce safe and sustainable low-carbon energy, starting with the completion of a spherical tokamak concept by 2024.
The deployment of The Industry Solution Experience "Capital Facilities Information Excellence" based on Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform will help improve the project's productivity by around 15%, it says.
