Atos: creates VulQain a platform dedicated to combustion
(CercleFinance.com) - Eviden, an Atos subsidiary, ColibrITD and ONERA today announced the launch of VulQain, a research project funded by the French Defence Innovation Agency, aimed at building the first end-to-end hybrid platform to address the phenomenon of combustion and its challenges.
By integrating Eviden's quantum computer emulator and ColibrITD's quantum software on ONERA's classical simulation platform, the project team aims to reduce carbon emissions, decrease the energy footprint of high-performance computing (HPC) centres and contribute to the development of safer engines and turbines in the future.
Eviden said that this project also aims to provide industries that need combustion with a hybrid computing platform, enabling better simulation capability and accuracy while improving their energy efficiency.
