
Allianz: fivefold increase in core net income in Q1
(CercleFinance.com) - Allianz has reported a more than fivefold increase in core net income for shareholders (+421%) to E2.
17bn for Q1 2023, as well as a 24% increase in operating income to E3.73bn.
At E46bn, the German insurance company's gross business volume grew by 3.9%, with 11.2% growth in non-life insurance more than offsetting declines of 2.6% in life and health and 8.1% in asset management.
Allianz has confirmed its 2023 operating profit target of E13.2 - 15.2bn, and announced a new share buyback program of up to E1.5bn, to be completed by the end of the year.
