Walgreens: EPS 30% down in third quarter

(CercleFinance.com) - Walgreens Boots Alliance, for its third quarter 2021-22, publishes adjusted EPS for continuing operations down 30% to 96 cents (-28.
9% at constant exchange rates) and operating profit of one billion dollars (-33.5% excluding exchange differences).

At 32.6 billion dollars, the revenue for the pharmacy store chain is down 4.2% (-2.8% at constant exchange rates), penalised - as the group had predicted - by an impact of 720 basis points linked to the sales of AllianceRx Walgreens.

Walgreens Boots maintains its growth expectations towards the lower end of the single-digit range of its adjusted annual EPS, explaining that its performance since the beginning of the financial year is overall in line with expectations.
