Walmart: starts collaboration with health insurer Anthem

(CercleFinance.com) - Walmart is joining forces with US health care insurer Anthem to sell affordable over-the-counter medications and health products for Medicare-eligible individuals.


Set to launch in January 2019, the program will enable Anthem's customers to purchase OTC medications and health-related items, such as first aid supplies, support braces and pain relievers at Walmart's 4,700 stores and online at Walmart.com.

According to the administration, nearly a quarter of married seniors and four out of 10 unmarried seniors rely on their Social Security pension, which averages just over 1,400 dollars a month, for at least 90 percent of their income.
