Visa: Ryan Mcinerney promoted to chief executive

(CercleFinance.com) - Visa announced on Thursday evening that it has promoted Ryan McInerney, the current head of its global operations, to chief executive.


McInerney's appointment will be effective from 1 February 2023. On that date, he will succeed Alfred F. Kelly, Jr. who has been the group's chief executive since 2016.

Following McInerney's appointment, Kelly will focus entirely on his role as chairman of the board, a position he had already held since 2019.

With his arrival as CEO, Visa says it is gaining a seasoned payments and retail banking executive with 20 years experience.
