Paramount: 'Top Gun' still at the top at US box office

(CercleFinance.com) - "Top Gun: Maverick" has helped Paramount rake in nearly 300 million dollars in revenues since its release, according to figures compiled by trade site Box Office Mojo.


The film, which marks the return of elite pilot Pete Mitchell aka "Maverick" played by Tom Cruise, already made a strong debut at the US box office on Memorial Day weekend.

In the second weekend after its release, it was again the top grossing film at the US box office, taking in nearly 86 million dollars, bringing the total revenue since its release to over 291 million dollars.
