Uber: quarterly sales and trip numbers down

(CercleFinance.com) - At the end of the third quarter of 2020, Uber saw its revenue decline by 18% y-o-y, according to statistics published by the transport service specialist.


Adjusted EBITDA fell by 7% between Q3 2019 (-585 million dollars) and Q3 2020 (625 million dollars).

The number of trips declined by 35% over the same period, from 1.77 billion to 1.15 billion in the third quarter of 2020.

Through continued strong execution and cost discipline, the group said it remains confident in its ability to achieve positive quarterly adjusted EBITDA before the end of 2021.

The market focused on these comments, with the share up 3% in early trading on Friday.
