Tesla: Elon Musk responds to criticism

(CercleFinance.com) - Following the heated conference call after the publication of Tesla's quarterly results, the company's boss, Elon Musk commented about these recent events.


On his Twitter account, Tesla's Chief Executive first commented that Tesla remains the most shorted stock on the US stockmarket and that the two sell-side analysts he decided to ignore during the call represent "a short seller thesis."

Regarding Bernstein's question about CapEx, Musk said it had already been answered in the group's newsletter.

Finally, Musk said that RBC's question about Model 3 demand was "absurd," pointing out that given half a million orders, and based on 5,000 vehicles produced per week, it would take two years to satisfy existing demand even if new sales were to fall to zero.

Elon Musk's refusal to take questions from some Wall Street analysts drew sharp criticism this week. After falling by 5.5% yesterday, the stock is down another 0.7% today: the share has lost nearly 4% this week.
