Symantec: sells enterprise security business to Broadcom

(CercleFinance.com) - Alongside the publication of its interim results, Symantec announced athe sale of its enterprise security business for 10.
7 billion dollars in cash, which it expects to finalise by the end of 2019.

Following this sale, the publisher of IT security solutions plans to pay an extraordinary dividend of 12 dollars per share and is increasing its share repurchase authorisation to 1.6 billion dollars.
