Starbucks: Q1 EPS increases 4%

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening Starbucks reported adjusted (non-GAAP) EPS of $0.
75 for Q1 2022-23, up 4%, with an adjusted operating margin of 14.5%, down slightly from 15.1% in the same period last year.

The coffeeshop chain's revenues increased 8% to a record 8.7 billion dollars, despite an unfavourable FX impact of around 3%. Global LFL sales rose 5%, driven by a 7% increase in the average receipt.

"Nearly every business segment contributing to our strong performance,” CFO Rachel Ruggeri, adding, "I'm pleased to share that our fiscal 2023 guidance remains unchanged, despite the headwinds from China".
