Regeneron: Sanofi sells most of stake

(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi has announced closing the sale of its 13 million Regeneron common stock by way of a public offering at a price of 515 dollars per share, with the over-allotment option having been fully exercised by coordinating banks.


The French pharmaceutical company also announced that Regeneron had repurchased 9.8 million of its common shares directly from Sanofi for approximately 5 billion dollars.

The offer has enabled Sanofi to sell its entire stake in the US healthcare group (excluding the 400,000 shares that it retains) for total gross proceeds of 11.7 billion dollars.
