Qualcomm: exploring 'next steps' after meeting with Broadcom

(CercleFinance.com) - After its meeting with Broadcom yesterday Qualcomm said that its board will soon meet to discuss the talks and determine the "next steps.
"

"We met with representatives of Broadcom for two hours (...), and listened carefully to what they had to say," the US mobile chip designer said in a press release on Wednesday.

As a reminder, Broadcom last week made its "best and final offer" at 82 dollars per Qualcomm share, which the California-based company again rebuffed.

However, Broadcom decided to make some concessions earlier this week, saying that it would seek the election of six, rather than 11, members at the Qualcomm board at the group's annual meeting to be held in March.
