Pfizer: vaccine gives positive results in children

(CercleFinance.com) - Pfizer and BioNTech announce the results of a phase II/III trial for their Covid-19 vaccine, showing a favourable safety profile and robust neutralising immune response among children of between five and eleven years of age.


The two pharmaceutical groups say they will submit these data to the US Food & Drug Administration as soon as possible, as well as to the European Medicines Agency, and other regulatory agencies across the world.

These are the first results from a pivotal trial of the Covid-19 vaccine among children under twelve. The results for children under five are expected before the end of the year.
