Oracle: Credit Suisse initiates with 'outperform' rating.

(CercleFinance.com) - Shares in Oracle are up 0.
6% at 50.9 dollars, outperforming the S&P index, which is down 0.3%, after Credit Suisse initiated its coverage of the US enterprise software maker with an "outperform" rating.

The broker says in a report that it believes that the market is underappreciating the power of Oracle's technology and upside opportunities in the cloud, and has set a target price of 62 dollars for the stock.

"While traditional financial metrics have lagged given a cloud transition, the stock is valued as if there's no tomorrow, or no other side to the transition," Credit Suisse analysts write in the report.

The broker reminds us that many have bet against the company's founder Larry Ellison, but "few have ever won."
