Omnicom: Q1 net income up over 11%

(CercleFinance.com) - Omnicom Group today reported Q1 net income of 287.
8 million dollars, up over 11% from 258.1 million dollars a year ago, generating EPS of 1.33 dollars, above the consensus.

At the same time, operating profit rose by 10.8% to 465.4 million dollars from 420.2 million dollars in Q1 2020.

The advertising group's global revenue edged up 0.6% to 3,426.9 million dollars, from 3,406.9 million dollars in Q1 2020.

Organic growth was driven by Asia-Pacific (+2.5%), while sales in other regions were down: -1% in the US, -6.4% in the UK, -2.4% in Latin America and -10.2% in the Middle East/Africa.
