Nvidia: launches new graphics card for 'next-gen' gaming

(CercleFinance.com) - Nvidia on Sunday unveiled a new graphics card which is specifially designed for next-generation gaming.


Based on its Turing architecture and priced at 349 dollars, the "RTX 2060" chip delivers "amazing" graphics enhanced by ray tracing and AI capabilities, the Silicon Valley firm said.

The RTX 2060 will be available from 15 January, Nvidia said.

The announcement - made ahead the CES in Las Vegas later this week - boosted the shares today on the Nasdaq.

The stock is currently up 2.5%, with analysts seeing potential on the name.

"2019 indeed looks like challenging for Nvidia, but the stock is down over 50% from its October peak, and we see secular growth drivers still in place," New Street Research said.
