Nvidia: shares rise further after upgrade.

(CercleFinance.com) - Shares of Nvidia Corp are up 2.
2% at almost 150 dollars in early trading on Monday after Jefferies raised its target price for the stock from 140 dollars to 180 dollars.

At the same time, Jefferies also downgraded its rating on the stock of fellow chipmaker Intel.

The broker said it expects Nvidia to be the "key beneficiary" of the shift in the computing world, due to its pole position as the ecosystem enabler for deep learning applications.

"Nvidia's decade long investment in Cuda, its proprietary GPU-processing language has resulted in a multi-year competitive advantage, that has yet to be fully appreciated by investors," Jefferies explained.

However, the stock is still up 41% y-t-d.
