Microsoft: expands collaboration with Switzerland's Luxoft

(CercleFinance.com) - Microsoft is expanding its collaboration with Swiss digital and software engineering firm Luxoft to include connected vehicles, the companies said on Thursday.


Luxoft plans to leverage Microsoft's platform to allow carmakers to offer features such as advanced vehicle diagnostics, remote access and repair, and preventive maintenance, the groups said.

Collecting real usage data will also support vehicle engineering to improve manufacturing quality, they added.

The two companies were already working together in areas such as server products.
