Microsoft: strategic partnership with India's Jio

(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Microsoft announced the signing of a 10-year strategic partnership with the Indian telecommunications operator Jio, which is owned by the industrial conglomerate Reliance.


According to both groups, this aims to offer Indian SMEs common offers in artificial intelligence, data analysis, blockchain networks and the Internet of Things.

Under the terms of the agreement, Jio's teams are expected to adopt cloud-based collaboration tools from the Microsoft 365 suite.

Jio also plans to build several data centers in India, which will be equipped with Microsoft's Azure platform.

The operator recently revolutionized the Indian mobile phone market by offering free national calls.
