Merck: FDA approves Keytruda to treat non-Hodgkin lymphoma

(CercleFinance.com) - Merck said that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved its star cancer treatment Keytruda for patients with refractory primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma, a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.


This indication - approved under the FDA's accelerated approval process - is the second indication for the blockbuster drug for the treatment of a hematologic malignancy.

Primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma mosty affects young adults and often proves to be difficult to treat.
