Mattel: extends licensing deal with DC Comics

(CercleFinance.com) - Mattel said on Thursday that it will continue to make toys and games based on DC's comic heroes, including Superman and Batman.


The US toymaker has extended its global licensing agreement with DC's parent company Warner Bros. and will continue to be its toy licensee in the girls, preschool, vehicles, games and novelty toy categories, it said.

Mattel - which also has licensing partnerships with Disney and Universal Pictures - has been DC's partner for over 15 years.

DC owns the rights for other characters, such as Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash.
