Mastercard: acquires Finicity

(CercleFinance.com) - Mastercard has announced an agreement to acquire Finicity, a North American provider of real-time access to financial data and overviews, in a deal that is subject to customary terms and conditions - it is expected to be completed towards the end of the year.


The payment solutions group will pay 825 million dollars for the acquisition, although Finicity's shareholders could also receive up to an additional 160 million dollars if performance targets are met.
