Macy's: ex-eBay executive to join as president.

(CercleFinance.com) - Macy's announced yesterday several changes intended to improve the company's performance, including the appointment of an ex-eBay executive.


The Department store operator said Hal Lawton has been appointed president of Macy's, as from 8 September, for which he will be responsible for all aspects of the Macy's brand, including merchandising, marketing, stores, operations, technology, and consumer insights and analytics.

Coming from eBay North America, where he was senior vice president, Lawton has strong technology and digital expertise, the retailer said.

He also previously worked for Home Depot and consulting firm McKinsey.
