Lowe's: plans to expand supply chain network
(CercleFinance.com) - Lowe's announces that to strengthen its logistics network, it plans to open 50 cross dock delivery terminals, seven bulk distribution centers and four e-commerce fulfillment centers over the next 18 months.
In October the home restoration chain store will, in particular, acquire an e-commerce processing center for the West Coast of the United States in Mira Loma, California.
This second center - in addition to that in Nashville, Tennessee, which opened in 2018 - will provide faster direct-to-consumer delivery options in response to growing demand for home deliveries.
