Lockheed Martin: HIMARS launchers delivered to Poland

(CercleFinance.com) - Lockheed Martin has announced that a first shipment of HIMARS launchers has been delivered safely to Poland.


According to Lockheed Martin, the HIMARS launcher enables long-range precision shooting (up to 300 km) and is interoperable with the purchased defence systems.

Further deliveries of HIMARS to Poland are planned for this year, the US company said.

In addition, an industrial partnership between Lockheed Martin and the Armament Agency of the Polish Ministry of National Defence is on the cards. A framework agreement between both parties would enable Polish industry to integrate key components of the HIMARS rocket launcher on a Jelcz 6x6 truck. Discussions are also underway for Polish ammunition production.
