Eli Lilly: no big surprises in Q1.
(CercleFinance.com) - Before Wall Street opened on Tuesday Eli Lilly announced a net loss of 110.
8 million dollars for the first 3 months of 2017, or -10 cents a share, compared to a profit of 440.1 million dollars, or 41 cents per share a year earlier.
However, excluding extraordinary items, the US pharmaceuticals group generated EPS of 98 cents, 15 cents more than at the end of Q1 2016 and 2 cents more than expected by analysts.
Sales rose by 7% y-o-y to 5.23 billion dollars, slightly above the consensus estimate of 5.2 billion dollars.
