Eli Lilly: 850 million dollar investment in the US.

(CercleFinance.com) - Eli Lilly today announced plans to invest 850 million dollars in its US operations in 2017, including research laboratories, manufacturing sites, and administrative areas.


The drugmaker says the investments are being driven by demand for its products, as well as its pipeline of potential medicines that are being developed, targeting cancer, pain and diabetes.

Eli Lilly plans to launch twenty new products over a 10-year time span.

In particular the company plans to make a new 85 million dollar expansion of its Trulicity diabetes device assembly operations in the US.

The project is part of a bigger five-year investment program to expand its diabetes products manufacturing operations in the US, which also includes a 140 million dollar insulin cartridge production facility.
