Kohl: raises target FY EPS range

(CercleFinance.com) - Benefiting from solid quarterly results, Kohl has said that it now expects FY 2018 EPS of between 5.
15 dollars to 5.55 dollars, against its previous target range of 5.05 dollars to 5.50 dollars, in adjusted terms, excluding a loss on extinguishing debt.

In its second accounting quarter, the distribution group posted adjusted net income that is up 40% at 292 million dollars, or 1.76 dollar per share, while the consensus was expecting 1.64 dollar.

This increase in profitability is based on a 42 basis point improvement in its gross margin to 39.5%, and revenues up 4% at 4.57 billion dollars (+3.1% like-for-like), driven by the sales of clothing and footwear.
