Kelloggs: Q1 above expectations

(CercleFinance.com) - Before the opening bell on Thursday Kellogg's reported Q1 EPS of 1.
01 dollar, 23% above the 82 cents announced a year ago.

However, the US Food and Beverage Group's adjusted EPS came in at 99 cents, down 2% from the same period last year. This was still 7 cents higher than the consensus.

Meanwhile, sales fell by 3.1% y-o-y to 3.4 billion dollars. On an organic basis, however, sales increased by +8%.
