J&J: immune response 8 months after Covid vaccination

(CercleFinance.com) - J&J has announced that its single-dose Covid vaccine generates an immune (antibody) and cellular (T-cell) response up to eight months after vaccination.


This is based on interim results from a Phase 1/2a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Furthermore, the results indicate that this dual mechanism was also observed with the Delta variant (B.1.617.2) but also with the Alpha (B.1.1.7), Beta (B.1.351), Gamma (P.1), Epsilon (B.1.429) and Kappa (B.1.617.1) variants, as well as with the original strain.

The sum total of the recent data therefore confirms the vaccine's ability to generate multiple components of immune responses, the laboratory said.
