J&J: buys natural healthcare firm Zarbee's

(CercleFinance.com) - Johnson & Johnson has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Zarbee's, a privately owned maker of natural healthcare products.


The acquisition will include the entire range of Zarbee's natural products for children and adults, including honey-based cough syrups, sleep, immune-system boosting and vitamin categories.

Zarbee's was founded in 2008 by pediatrician Dr. Zak Zarbock.

The financial terms of the deal - which is expected to close in the third quarter of 2018 - were not disclosed.
