JPMorgan: acquires Irish company Global Shares

(CercleFinance.com) - JP Morgan announced on Tuesday that it had reached an agreement to acquire Global Shares, a specialist in employee share ownership solutions.


Founded in 2005, Global Shares provides cloud-based software that enables companies ranging from start-ups to large multinationals to manage their employee share plans.

"The firm has nearly $200 billion in assets under administration across 650,000 corporate employee participants".

The transaction - the financial terms of which were not disclosed - is expected to be closed in the second half of 2021.
