JPMorgan Chase: beats consensus in Q2.

(CercleFinance.com) - JPMorgan Chase has reported net income of over 7 billion dollars for the second quarter of 2017, up 13% y-o-y.
At 1.82 dollar, EPS beat the consensus by 22 cents.

The banking group's revenues increased by 5% to 26.4 billion dollars, particularly thanks to higher interest rates and more lending, boosting net interest income, which rose by 8%.

The New York based bank's non-interest expenses rose by 6% to 14.5 billion dollar, due to an unfavourable comparison basis, but also its provisions for credit losses, which decreased by 13% to 1.2 billion dollars.
