HP Enterprise: could cut workforce by 10%.
(CercleFinance.com) - Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), the IT services group resulting from HP's split in 2015 - could be preparing to lay off 10% of its staff, or about 5,000 employees, according to Bloomberg, which quotes related sources.
The US media has reported that these redundancies, which are expected to begin by the end of the year, could affect both employees in the US and in other countries, including some senior executives.
According to Bloomberg, for HPE this reflects cost-saving efforts in a context of increasing competition, with pressure from cloud providers, such as Amazon or Alphabet's subsidiary, Google.
