Hershey: takes stakes in two emerging snacking businesses

(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday the US confectionery group Hershey announced that it has taken minority stake in Fulfil and Blue Stripes, two ermerging snacking businesses that specialise in chocolate.


Fulfil markets vitamin and protein bars that are mainly made from nuts and chocolate in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Meanwhile, the Blue Stripes store chain offers a unique concept featuring a wide range of chocolate variations, from drinks to pastries.

Hershey said these two investments were made through C7 Ventures, its private equity arm that focuses on "disruptive" and "emerging" players that offer new ways to consume.
