Hasbro: to make toys based on 'Baby Yoda' character

(CercleFinance.com) - Hasbro has extended its merchandising deal with Disney in an agreement that now includes the rights to make toys and games based on the popular "Baby Yoda" character, the US toymaker said on Friday.

This morning Hasbro and Disney announced the renewal of Hasbro's rights regarding the Marvel and Star Wars franchises.

Under the Marvel license agreement, Hasbro will continue to make toys and games based on Marvel's 8,000 characters, including Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America and Black Panther.

The Star Wars license agreement includes the rights to toys and games based on the Star Wars movies, also including the recent favorite character coming from "The Mandalorian" show, affectionately known as "Baby Yoda".

The multi-year agreements - whose financial terms were not disclosed - also cover all film and television projects from Disney+'s streaming platform.
