GE: to supply 55 onshore wind turbines to India

(CercleFinance.com) - GE Renewable Energy today announced that it has been selected by Continuum Green Energy to supply, install and commission fifty-five 2.
7-132 onshore wind turbines at the 148.5 MW Bhuj wind farm in the Indian state of Gujarat.

This is another success for GE's 2.7-132 wind turbine, which has proven to be the most chosen technology in India thanks to its peak performance in India's low wind speeds, GE says.

In addition, GE will be able to build on its strong local presence, as product design is primarily done at GE's technology centre in Bengalore while blades are manufactured in Vadodara, with assembly in Pune.
